Drunk Dial Winners St. Patrick is proud of you all...

2009 Winners - Joint Grand Prizes

As with last year, we had a tough time awarding winners... We decided on a joint Grand Prize... There were some brilliant calls. We thought the entry from the future was extremely good as were many of the singing entries. However, in the end we decided to go with two entries to share the winning prize. One is a well-made piece, the other embodies the spirit of a true drunk dial.

The first is a well choreographed piece from Craig Welsh in Iqaluit, Nunavut that had us rolling in laughter

The second is just pure drunken laughter, and that's what St. Patrick's Day is all about! For some reason every time we listen to it, it makes us laugh. So the award goes to Karin Smith from Omaha, Nebraska for complete drunken maniacal laughter. Oh, we fully intend to loop that over and over and over.

People's Choice Winner TBD

2008 Winners

Grand Prize Winner

A fairy tale from Chicago, a toast to the great Saint, sent in from Honokaa, Hawaii by Dan Niederloh. He phoned after a 6 pack of Guinness and some Bushmills while being egged on by his children, whom he obviously raised well. The Saint salutes your original composition! Listen to Dan

Second Prize Winner

Yes, the good Saint honestly had to give himself a prize. He felt his call, as voiced by Craig Welsh of Nunavut, Canada deserved the money that he so eloquently requested. Apparently being a saint doesn’t pay the bills these days. Listen to Craig

2007 Winners

The 2007 Winner was Anne from Edmonton. She called in pretending to be the Queen of England. The result was hilarious and an overwhelming favourite of the Drunk Dial judges. Listen to the winning entry.

2006 Winners

The 2006 Winner was Anne-Marie Gale from Quebec City for describing how the drunk dial worked. She also submitted other entries but let's face it, this one kind of took the cake... and the screech! Listen to the winning entry.

2005 Winners

Unfortunately, the judge was too drunk to actually choose winners. There were also no recordings from this first drunk dial. Honourable mentions go to Jason and Michelle Kennedy in Germany for calling us from Oktoberfest and to Chris Eustace and Michael Mannion for having to battle Air Canada but still calling in from Montreal.
